You can test the execution of rules in Rule
Designer with
the decision engine for z/OS®.
To do so, you integrate the decision engine with a Java™ application. Use the Java Project for Rules and the template provided
to instantiate a decision engine.
Decision engine for z/OS
The decision engine for z/OS is
designed to optimize the execution performance of your ruleset. The
decision engine works in a similar way to the classic rule engine,
although there are differences in the compilation and loading of the
rules.
Testing the execution with a Java application
To test the execution of a ruleset in Rule
Designer,
you create a Java project for
rules. Then, you edit the execution method and you set up notification.
Limitations of the decision engine
The decision engine for z/OS is
designed to offer better performance results but does not yet support
some of the features of the classic rule engine.
