You can view execution unit (XU) execution traces to debug
potential issues.
About this task
The execution unit (XU) debug trace (also called XU memory dump) is a stand-alone web page that
represents a snapshot of the XU. It contains the XU settings, technical information about the
caches, about the state of the current connection in memory, and about the XU configuration. It does
not contain any messages that the XU writes to its log.
Attention: The reset command
resets the log in all the deployed execution units.
Procedure
- Click the Server Info tab.
In the Server Info View, the execution
unit table provides the number of warnings and errors logged on each
server.
- Set the console log level to Debug.
Note: The process is different on the zRule Execution Server for z/OS console
for zRule Execution Server for z/OS:
The XU memory dump link is available on the Server Info page.
You do not need to click the name of the server to browse to another
page.
- Click the name of the server in the list of deployed execution
units.
- Click View in the Execution Unit Dump field
to view the trace in a new browser window or click the
Save icon next to the View link to save the dump on your computer.
The memory dump is downloaded as a .zip file. The default name of this file
is infos.zip and it contains a single entry named
infos.html, which is the XU dump in HTML format.
