Deleting API keys

Deleting an API key immediately invalidates and deletes all associated secrets. If you delete the only secret, or delete both secrets, the system deletes the API key.

CAUTION: If an API key secret is compromised or lost, consider rotating the API key secret instead of deleting the API key. For more information, see Managing API key secrets.

Before you begin

  • You must have the Manage API keys permission enabled.

Procedure

  1. Click the User Settings icon and select Users & teams.
  2. Click the API keys tab.
  3. For the API key that you want to edit, click the options menu, then click Delete.
  4. When prompted, enter the API key name to confirm deletion, and then click Delete.

Result

The API key and its associated secrets are deleted.
