Viewing backup activity of a zone

If you back up DNS data through IBM® Cloud Sync, you can view changes that were made to a zone.

Before you begin

  • Make sure that you have permissions to manage zones.
  • Make sure that the external network is connected and that the zone is published to the network.

About this task

To check the changes that were made to a zone, you can view the activity log specific to the zone. The activities that you see are from the Activity log page, but filtered by zone.

The activity log shows the date and time that a change was made, who made the changes and to what object type, and the specific changes that were made.

Procedure

  1. Click DNS > Zones.
  2. Locate the zone for which you want to view activities.
    To locate a zone, you can use the filter options to narrow the zone list by the zone name, the tag, the type of zone, or the type of network.
  3. Click the zone name.
  4. Click the Activity log tab.
