Notifiers
A notifier represents the stakeholders and systems that IBM® NS1 Connect® sends alerts to and through which notification channel (email, Slack, PagerDuty, webhook, data feed).
Notifiers are defined within a notifier list, which is then attached to an alert or a monitoring job. You create, edit, or delete a notifier only through a notifier list. The same notifier can be used in multiple notifier lists. NS1 Connect supports the following notifier types:
| Notifier type | Details |
|---|---|
| Data feed | For a monitoring job to automatically update the up/down metadata of its connected answer(s), you must attach a notifier list containing the data feed notifier.
Attention: Failure to include the data feed notifier in your notifier list prevents monitoring jobs that use this notifier list from updating answer metadata and breaking automatic failover configurations.
