Notifiers
A notifier is a recipient (email) or notification channel (Slack, PagerDuty, webhook, data feed) to whichIBM® NS1 Connect® will send alerts.
Notifiers are defined within the notifier list, which is which is attached to an alert or monitoring job. You create, edit, or delete a notifier only through a notifier list. The same notifier can be used in multiple notifier lists. NS1 Connect supports the following notifier types:
Notifier type | Details |
---|---|
Data feed | For a monitoring job to automatically update the up/down metadata of its connected
answer(s), you must attach a notifier list containing the data feed notifier. Attention: Failure to include the data feed notifier in your notifier list prevents monitoring jobs that use
this notifier list from updating answer metadata and breaking automatic failover
configurations.
