Enforcing two-factor authentication for all users

You can add an extra layer of protection to your NS1 Connect organization's account by enforcing two-factor authentication (2FA).

Before you begin

  • You must have the Manage global 2fa permission enabled.
  • Ensure all account users are aware that a time-based one-time password (TOTP) authentication app, such as Google Authenticator, will be required to log in and that they have access to a device that has a TOTP authentication app installed.
Note: If your organization uses a third-party single sign-on (SSO) integration for authentication then NS1 Connect 2FA does not apply.

Procedure

  1. Click the User Settings icon and select Security settings.
  2. In the Account login tab, toggle the Enforce two-factor authentication for all users switch to the on position.

What to do next

On their next login, each user must set up 2FA using a TOTP authentication app.
