Enable two-factor authentication for your user account

You can set two-factor authentication (2FA) for your individual user account.

Before you begin

Make sure that you have access to a device with a time-based one-time (TOTP) authentication app, such as Google Authenticator, installed.

Note: If your organization uses a third-party single sign-on (SSO) integration for authentication, NS1 Connect 2FA does not apply.

Procedure

In IBM® NS1 Connect®:
  1. Click the User Settings icon and select Your profile.
  2. Toggle the Enable 2-Factor Authentication switch to on.
    A QR code and TOTP key appear.

Using your TOTP authentication app:
  1. Scan the QR code or manually enter the TOTP key to generate a device authentication code.
In NS1 Connect:
  1. Enter the six-digit code provided by your authentication app.
  2. Click Verify authentication.

What to do next

On your next login, use the authentication app to generate a TOTP to log in to NS1 Connect.
