Configuring prerequisites
Before you install a geo-redundant deployment of IBM® Netcool® Operations Insight® on OpenShift®, you must complete the prerequisites.
About this task
- Prepare your clusters, as described in Planning.
- For information about installing in
SingleNamespace
mode, see Installing IBM Netcool Operations Insight on Red Hat OpenShift in an air-gapped environment (offline) with the oc-ibm_pak plug-in and a portable compute or portable storage device. - Ensure that you have the necessary permissions to run the commands listed in Installing Netcool Operations Insight.
- Set up a load balancer between the primary and backup clusters. Ensure that the load balancer is accessible by an external hostname.
- Open up the geo-redundancy ports listed in Geo-redundancy ports.
- Create secrets and configure additional networks, as described in Creating secrets.
- Review the geo-redundancy properties that are listed in Geo-redundancy properties.
- Configure high availability (HA) for Web GUI, as described in Configuring high availability for Web GUI .
- Download the primary and backup custom resource (CR) YAML templates from the following
