Expired related events
An active related event group expires if no live events that match that related event group come into the Object Server for six months. This six-month period is known as the automated expiry time.
When the automated expiry time is reached for an active related event group, the related event group and its related events are moved to the Expired tab within the View Related Events portlet. The default automated expiry time for an active configuration is six months. To change the expiry time, see Changing the expiry time for related events groups.
An expired related event group or pattern remains functional. If triggered, the expired related event group or pattern acts exactly like an active related event group or pattern.
Follow the steps to move expired related event groups or patterns to the Active tab:
- Go to the Expired tab and right-click the related event group or pattern that you want to move. A menu is displayed.
- From the menu, select Validate to move the related event group or pattern.
For other actions on related event groups within the Expired tab, right-click a related event group or event, and a menu is displayed. From the menu, select the action that you want to take.
