Displaying probable cause for an alert group
When you expand an alert group, you will see the probable cause ratings for each alert in the group. The alert with the greatest probable cause rating is the most likely cause of these alerts.
Open an alert group as described in the related link at the end of this
topic. Probable cause information is displayed in the Probable cause column in the table.
Each of the alerts in the group has a bar in the Probable cause column indicating the percentage probability that this is the probable cause alert. The probable cause alert has the longest bar and its bar is bright blue. The other alerts have shorter bars and are shown in a dull blue color.
- Hover over the bar of the probable cause alert to see the percentage probability that this is the root cause alert.
- Click the bar of the probable cause alert. A side panel that contains multiple information sections opens in the table. The open section is called the Probable cause section and displays text stating that this alert is probable cause. It also provides the following buttons:
- Reference topology
- Click here to show the topology that was used to calculate the probable cause values.
- Add a comment
