The cloud portion of a hybrid installation, the cloud native Netcool Operations Insight components on Red Hat® OpenShift® Container Platform, has the following requirements.

Browser support

The current version of Netcool Operations Insight, 1.6.8, is compatible with several browsers. For more information, see the Web Browsers section on the Supported Software tab in the 1.6.8 report: SPCR for version 1.6.8

OpenShift support

The current version of Netcool Operations Insight, 1.6.8, is compatible with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4.10. All of the documentation links point to version 4.10 of the Red Hat OpenShift documentation: https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/openshift_container_platform/4.10external link
Note: When upgrading Red Hat OpenShift, do not to drain all the nodes. Instead, rely on the PodDisruptionBudgets (PDBs) to ensure that there is no service disruption.

Platform support

Netcool Operations Insight on OpenShift is supported on x86 platforms.

A Netcool Operations Insight on OpenShift deployment is also supported on the following platforms:

  • Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS (ROSA)
  • Red Hat OpenShift on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Azure Red Hat OpenShift (Microsoft ARO)
  • IBM Red Hat OpenShift Kubernetes Service (ROKS), which can be provisioned from the IBM Cloud® catalog: https://cloud.ibm.com/kubernetes/catalog/OpenShiftcluster
