Save and publish an automation

Creating an automation involves defining routines that run a task automatically.

After an automation is published and used in production, you might improve it based on its success rate. The following actions are available:

Cancel
Cancel closes the editor without saving any changes.
Save draft
Save draft saves the updates that are added. The editor remains open. Save draft is useful if you are editing an automation and you want to take a break and continue later. Or you want to save your changes as you go.
Save draft & close
Save draft & close saves your changes and closes the editor. You use this option if you need to work on a different item.
Publish
Publishes a new version of the automation and makes it available for use in runbooks and for operators.
