Save and publish an automation
Creating an automation involves defining routines that run a task automatically.
After an automation is published and used in production, you might improve it based on its success rate. The following actions are available:
- Cancel
- Cancel closes the editor without saving any changes.
- Save draft
- Save draft saves the updates that are added. The editor remains open. Save draft is useful if you are editing an automation and you want to take a break and continue later. Or you want to save your changes as you go.
- Save draft & close
- Save draft & close saves your changes and closes the editor. You use this option if you need to work on a different item.
- Publish
- Publishes a new version of the automation and makes it available for use in runbooks and for operators.
