Connecting event sources to Netcool Operations Insight on a cloud deployment

After you successfully deploy Netcool® Operations Insight®, you can connect to an on-premises event source such as an IBM® Tivoli® Netcool/OMNIbus probe or gateway. You can connect directly through the ObjectServer services, or you can connect through the proxy service.

The ObjectServer service supports plaintext Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) connections. The proxy service supports both plaintext TCP connections and Transport Layer Security (TLS) authenticated and encrypted connections.
