Use the following troubleshooting information to resolve problems with Event Analytics patterns.

Blank fields in synthetic event
Blank fields during creation of synthetic event on non-occurrence.
Event analytics related event groups not being correctly allocated to patterns
Related event groups might not be correctly allocated to event patterns. In this case, start the ProcessPatternGroupsAllocation Netcool®/Impact service as a workaround while you resolve the issue.
Event Analytics synthetic parent events are being cleared
After configuring event patterns to trigger a synthetic event, you notice that the synthetic parent event is generated with the severity chosen in the View Related Events portlet in the Pattern parent tab. However, after a short time the parent event is cleared (severity =clear), and eventually, this synthetic parent event is deleted when the delete_clear trigger is activated in the ObjectServer.
Event pattern sections not displaying
When testing an event pattern, collapsed sections do not display correctly when reopened.
Events not being matched to deployed pattern
A pattern has been deployed but incoming events in the live events stream, which are expected to match the pattern, are not being grouped in the Event Viewer.
Incorrect error message
Incorrectly displaying No event selected error message.
Parts of event pattern screen not displaying
Parts of the Events Pattern screen not displaying because an invalid group is selected.
Pattern displays no groups and events
The events pattern that is created and displayed in the Group Sources table in the View Related Events portlet displays 0 groups and 0 events.
Pattern with the same criteria already exists
An error message is displayed if you create a pattern that has a duplicate pattern criterion selected.
Suggested pattern with blank parameter field
Suggested pattern with a blank Event Type parameter field.
Synthetic parent for deployed pattern fields not being populated as expected
The fields of synthetic parent event within a group generated by a deployed patterns are not being populated as expected.
