Defining and editing applications
You define and edit applications by adding (or removing) resource groups, icons and tags.
Before you begin
Ensure that you have your system set up with your required inventory connections and integrations, such as for Kubernetes or VMware, completed and working. These connections provide the topological data for your applications.
Ensure that resource groups have been created and are available on the Resource management page.
Defining an application
Defining an application involves selecting the groups of resources to compose the application, previewing the application, and then adding any additional details as required.

Editing an application
Procedure
- Log in to the console.
- From the main navigation, click Resource management, then select the Applications tab.
- In Favorites or All application results,
find the application that you want to edit. You can use pagination or the search field to find the specific application.
- Click the options (3-dot icon) for the application entry in the table, and click
Edit application on the menu. The Edit application page is displayed.
- Edit the groups of resources, then preview the application, and finally edit any additional details as required.
- After you complete your changes, click Update application.
