Upgrading and rolling back on a hybrid architecture

Learn how to upgrade or roll back your hybrid installation.

You can upgrade by using the Operator Lifecycle Manager (OLM) UI, or with the OLM UI and Container Application Software for Enterprises (CASE). You can also upgrade offline in an air-gapped environment.
Note: Before you upgrade Netcool® Operations Insight® on Red Hat® OpenShift®, ensure that your storage provider is functioning properly. Storage issues might cause some pods to go into the ContainerStatusUnknown state.

Before you upgrade, you must back up your deployment. For more information, see Cloud and hybrid backup and restore.

After you upgrade your hybrid deployment, update the cloud native analytics gateway configmap. For more information, see Preserving cloud native analytics gateway configmap customizations on upgrade.
