DASH GUIs remain active even after a long period
In a hybrid system, DASH-based GUIs, such as the Topology Viewer, remain active even after a long period of inactivity. This is due to a default timeout setting, which needs to be changed manually in order to correct this behavior.
Problem
In a hybrid system, DASH-based GUIs, such as the Topology Viewer, remain active for a default period of 24 hours. Consequently it is possible to access the system after several hours of inactivity without having to specify credentials. This is a potential security issue.
Cause
This activity period is controlled by default settings for DASH and Web GUI session timeout parameters.
Troubleshooting
To resolve this issue, set the LTPA timeout value to 30 (minutes) or similar value, as described in the technote link at the end of this topic.
