To upgrade to version 1.6.12, you must download software from Passport Advantage® and Fix Central.

About this task

This scenario describes how to upgrade Netcool® Operations Insight® from version 1.6.11 to the current version 1.6.12. The scenario assumes that Netcool Operations Insight is deployed as shown in the simplified architecture in the following figure. Depending on how your Netcool Operations Insight system is deployed, you need to download the software and run the upgrade on different servers.

Procedure

  1. For more information about where to obtain downloads for each product and component, see Updated versions in the 1.6.12 release.
    Note: To download the software, you must log in to IBM® Passport Advantage or Fix Central.
  2. Download the software to the servers listed in the table.
