Pingdom provides web performance and availability monitoring. You can set up an
integration with Netcool® Operations Insight® to receive alert information from
Pingdom.
About this task
Using a webhook URL, you set up an integration with Pingdom, and associate the integration with
the uptime and transaction checks. The alerts generated by the checks are sent to the event management service as events.
Procedure

Click New integration.

Go to the Pingdom tile and click Configure.

Enter a name for the integration and click
Copy to add the generated webhook URL to the clipboard. Ensure you save the
generated webhook to make it available later in the configuration process. For example, you can save
it to a file.

Click Save.

Log in to your account at https://my.pingdom.com/.

Set up the integration:

Select .

Click Add new in the window.

Ensure Webhook is selected from the Type
list.

In the Name field, enter a name for the integration.

In the URL field, paste the webhook URL from event management.

Ensure the Active check box is selected.

Click Save integration.

Enable the integration for the checks you want to receive alert information from:

Go to https://my.pingdom.com/dashboard.

Select .

Open a check, and select the check box next to your webhook integration. This enables the
posting of alerts to the URL when, for example, a site goes down.

Repeat the steps for each check you want to receive alert information from.

To start receiving alert information from the Pingdom checks, verify that Enable event management from this
source is set to On..
