Administering Cloud and hybrid systems

Perform the following tasks to administer your Cloud or hybrid Netcool® Operations Insight® system.

Administering users
User access to all of the Netcool Operations Insight on Red Hat® OpenShift® interfaces is provided based on default user group settings. You can also optionally create new users and groups.
Administering the Alerts page
As a senior operator or an administrator, you need to perform administration tasks as part of system maintenance and to ensure the correct operation of the Alerts page.
Administering topology
As a senior operator or administrator, you need to administer the topology management system, to ensure that the topology is kept up to date. Administration tasks include managing observer jobs to ingest the latest topology updates, and creating and maintaining topology templates to generate defined topologies.

Netcool Operations Insight provides the capability to create and manage runbooks, which your operations teams can execute to solve common operational problems. Runbooks provide full and partial automation of commons operations procedures, thereby increasing the efficiency of your operations processes.
