Icons used in the Alerts page
Use this information to understand the purpose of the different icons used in the Alerts page.
Icon | Name | Description |
---|---|---|
System filter or view | Denotes a system filter or view. System filters and views are created and assigned by
administrators only, and cannot be modified by operators. For example, the system view that applies
analytics grouping to the alert data looks like this: Example_IBM_CloudAnalytics For more information on system filters and views, see the related links at the end of this topic. |

Global filter or view | Denotes a global filter or view. Global filters and views are accessible to all users and can
be copied to your user profile and modified there. This icon always appears with the event filter or
view name; for example, the default global view looks like this: Default For more information on global filters and views, see the related links at the end of this topic. |

Group filter | Denotes a group filter. Group filters are accessible to all members of the associated user
group. This icon always appears with the alert filter name; for example, a filter created
specifically for the Network user group might look like this: Network For more information on group filters, see the related links at the end of this topic. |

User filter or view | Denotes a user filter or view. User filters and views are specific to a particular user; only
that user and the administrator can access this category of filter. This icon always appears with
the alert filter or view name; for example, a view created specifically by the user Annette might

Search | Click this icon to search for text in any of the columns displayed in the table. | |
Edit filters | Click this icon to open a separate browser tab, where you can edit the filters that are applied to the alert data. This capability is available to users with administrator privileges only. For more information on editing filters, see the links at the end of this page. | |
Edit views | Click this icon to open a separate browser tab, where you can edit the views that are applied to the alert data. This capability is available to users with administrator privileges only. For more information on editing filters, see the links at the end of this page. | |
Correlation information | Click this icon to display alert grouping information. | |
Temporal group | Alerts with a dot in this column are part of a temporal group. Click any of the dots in this column to highlight the events that are members of the group and to display a side-panel with temporal group details. | |
Scope-based group | Alerts with a dot in this column are part of a scope-based group. Click any of the dots in this column to highlight the events that are members of the group and to display a side-panel with group details. | |
Topological group | Alerts with a dot in this column are part of a topological group. Click any of the dots in this column to highlight the events that are members of the group and to display a side-panel with group details. | |
Filter | Click this icon to filter the alerts in the table based on one of the following: severity, enrichment, or group membership. | |
Seasonal enrichment | When you click Filter , one of the enrichment options is to filter based on alerts that have associated seasonality. This is known as seasonal enrichment and is denoted using the Seasonal icon. | |
Topological enrichment | When you click Filter , one of the enrichment options is to filter based alerts that have associated topology resource information. This is known as topological enrichment and is denoted using the Topological icon. | |
Runbook enrichment | When you click Filter , one of the enrichment options is to filter based alerts that have one or more associated runbooks. This is known as runbook enrichment and is denoted using the Runbook icon. | |
