Troubleshooting configuration on Cloud and hybrid systems

Use these troubleshooting entries to help resolve problems and to see known issues for configuration on Cloud and hybrid systems.

Merge Service timeout
The Merge Service polls Kafka for messages with a timeout of one second. This means that if there are no messages in the topic, the Merge Service waits one second before it checks again. However, this timeout value can cause issues if the Merge Service is not able to process the message within that time frame.

Error 500 on policies screen

Events not being grouped after loading local data
After loading local data, events are not being grouped in the Alerts page.
Runbook Automation: disabled triggers are picked up instead of enabled triggers
Changes are not picked up when a second trigger is created that matches the same event as the original trigger, and the original trigger is disabled.
Runbook Automation and Netcool/Impact integration: ObjectServer maximum row size error
This error might be encountered when running the IBM® Tivoli® Netcool/Impact 7.1.0.20 rba_objectserver_fields_updateFP19.sql script to update the ObjectServer with the new RunbookIDArray field. The script is run as part of the runbook automation and Netcool/Impact integration steps.
Unable to run loadSampleData.sh script on hybrid systems
An error is returned when running the loadSampleData.sh script on a hybrid environment on an SSL ObjectServer. On hybrid systems in general, the replaying of historic events to an SSL enabled ObjectServer is not supported . Attempts to do so result in a write: broken pipe error.

Unable to run seasonal or temporal event training
When you run data ingestion and train commands to get data into Cassandra, training does not complete and policies are not displayed in the manage policies screen. Scaling of stateful sets in the product is not supported. If you have scaled down the Cassandra stateful set, the following errors might be observed.
