Using custom certificates for routes

(Optional) Red Hat® OpenShift® Container Platform automatically generates TLS certificates for external routes, but you can use your own certificate instead. Learn how to update external routes to use custom certificates on Red Hat OpenShift. Internal TLS microservice communications are not affected.

You can update the Red Hat OpenShift ingress to use a custom certificate for all external routes across the cluster. For more information, see https://docs.openshift.com/container-platform/4.5/authentication/certificates/replacing-default-ingress-certificate.html.

If required, you can add a custom certificate for a single external route. For more information, see https://docs.openshift.com/container-platform/4.5/networking/routes/secured-routes.html.
