Installing on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform

Follow these instructions to prepare for and install IBM® Netcool® Operations Insight® on Red Hat® OpenShift®.

Note: There is a need for read-write-many storage volumes. Before you install Netcool Operations Insight on OpenShift, ensure that your storage provider supports ReadWriteMany (RWX) volumes.

When you install Netcool Operations Insight on OpenShift, all of its components are automatically deployed as pods that run within the cluster. Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform manages the deployment of pods across worker nodes. Pods for a service are deployed on nodes that meet a service's specification and affinity rules, and are orchestrated by Kubernetes.
