Installing cloud native components on hybrid
To create a hybrid installation, you must install the cloud native components on Red Hat® OpenShift® Container Platform, and configure them to access your on-premises ObjectServer and on-premises WebGUI. You can install the cloud native components using the Operator Lifecycle Manager (OLM) UI, or with the OLM UI and Netcool® Operations Insight® (CASE). You can also install offline in an airgapped environment.
Before you begin
Online installations of Netcool Operations Insight on Red Hat OpenShift components can be run entirely as a nonroot user and do not require users to have sudo access.
If you want to install Netcool Operations Insight on Red Hat OpenShift components in an air-gapped environment as a nonroot user, review the information in the Install commands that require root or sudo access topic.
