Installing on IBM Cloud Private
Follow these instructions to install Operations Management and optionally
install the solution extension for Service Management, on a private cloud, using IBM Cloud® Private .
Creating a Kubernetes secret for the Netcool/OMNIbus password
By default the root password for the Netcool®/OMNIbus ObjectServer is empty. In production environments it will be necessary to change the password to improve security. In order to change the default password it is necessary to first create a Kubernetes secret that contains the password. Creating the password secret prior to installing Operations Management on IBM Cloud Private will prevent unnecessary pod restarts. If there are multiple deployments of Operations Management on IBM Cloud Private within the same cluster and/or namespace then a Kubernetes secret should be created for each instance's Netcool/OMNIbus Objectserver.
