Prerequisites for using the DLA
Before you configure and use the Discovery Library Adapter (DLA), make sure the prerequisites are met.
- A successful Network Manager network discovery has been performed and the Network Connectivity and Inventory Model (NCIM) database has been populated.
- The DLA uses the GUI server connection pool by default. If you want to use a different NCIM database than the one provided during installation, then you must have the access credentials for that NCIM database.
- You must run the ncp_dla.sh script with an IBM Java JRE in your $PATH
environment variable. To check your Java version, run the following command:
java -version. If the Java version is not from IBM, locate an IBM JRE and add the directory that contains it to the start of the$PATHenvironment variable. A suitable JRE is located in the following directory: $WAS_HOME/java/bin. - You must have a working knowledge of how the product you want
to integrate with is deployed.
