The following features and functions are introduced in this Fix Pack.

Collector passwords must be encrypted

By default, all collector properties files installed by this Fix Pack have the isPasswordEncrypted parameter set to true, which means that all passwords used in those files must be encrypted.

Configuring the Database Finder to use Microsoft SQL Server

On Red Hat Linux only, you can configure the Database Finder to use Microsoft SQL Server 2022.

StandardNETCONF agent

The new agent StandardNETCONF retrieves interface details from devices discovered by the Ping Finder, if they support standard YANG models and NETCONF.

New troubleshooting steps have been added for database retention errors.

Filtering right-click tools

You can now display or hide right-click tools when they are invoked from certain layouts. Additionally, the following right-click tools are no longer displayed from the Tools menu if the Network Views are in Tabular layout: Align Nodes, Create User Defined Collection, and Delete User Defined Collection.

The following currency updates are made in this Fix Pack.

Operating system support

Support is added for Red Hat Enterprise Linux® Server (x86-64) on Intel and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) x86 processors Version 9.6.

Support is added for Red Hat Enterprise Linux on IBM z Systems (s390x, 64 bit) Version 9.6.

Database support

Support is added for IBM Db2® Version 12.1 Enterprise Server Edition

Compatibility updates

IBM Installation Manager support is updated to V1.9.3.2 or V1.10.1.2

Support for IBM® Websphere Application Server Version 9 is updated to 9.0.5.24.

Support for Jazz for Service Management is updated to V1.1.3.25.

Support for Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus Web GUI is updated to 8.1 Fix Pack 38.

Known problems in Fix Pack 23

The following issues are known in this Fix Pack.

Cannot use IBM Installation Manager 1.10 with IBM Tivoli Netcool Configuration Manager

To use the integration between Network Manager and IBM Tivoli Netcool Configuration Manager, you must use IBM Installation Manager V1.9 or below.
