Enabling the multicast agents

To discover multicast groups, you must enable the appropriate agents and add the relevant SNMP community strings.

1. Click the Discovery icon and select Network Discovery Configuration.
2. From the Domain list, select the required domain.
3. Click the Full Discovery Agents tab.
   The Agents List is displayed, showing all available discovery agents for the selected discovery option.
4. Click Full Layer 2 and Layer 3 Discovery > Multicast.
5. Select the check box next to the agents you want to enable.
   1. Enable the StandardPIM agent to discover protocol-independent multicast groups compliant with the RFC2934 PIM MIB.
   2. Enable the StandardIPMRoute agent to discover IP multicasting networks compliant with the RFC2932 IPMRoute MIB.
   3. Enable the StandardIGMP agent to discover multicast groups running the Internet Group Membership Protocol (IGMP).
6. Click Save .
7. Optional: If you want to rediscover multicast groups, also enable the appropriate agents for partial discoveries.
8. Ensure that the SNMP community strings are configured correctly to access the devices in the multicast groups.
