Collectors

Collectors are like agents, except they do not discover information from devices, but collect it from Element Management Systems (EMSs). Enable and configure the right collectors for your discovery if you use an EMS.

Collectors are separate processes that are started independently of the ncp_disco process. Collectors connect to an EMS or parse files from an EMS to collect data about the devices managed by the EMS.

Each Collector that you need to run must be configured to connect to the appropriate EMS.
