Configuring NAT discoveries
Configure a Network Address Translation (NAT) discovery
to discover NAT environments, by mapping the address-space identifier
for a NAT domain to the IP address of the associated NAT gateway device.
About Network Address Translation The number of available IP addresses in the current 32–bit format is not enough to meet the growth in demand for access to the Internet. Network Address Translation (NAT) was designed as a short-term solution to this problem by providing a method of connecting multiple computers to an IP network using either a single unique public IP address, or a small number of unique public IP addresses.About NAT discovery You can use Network Manager to manage NAT environments, though there are some restrictions on the types of NAT environment that are currently supported.Configuring a NAT discovery Configure a NAT discovery to discover NAT environments and to enable Network Manager to manage NAT environments.Post-configuration NAT tasks After you have configured NAT discoveries, you can complete several post-configuration tasks.
