If you are running Network Manager in a locale that supports multibyte characters, then there is no need to make any configuration changes. For example, both of the following locales support multibyte characters when NCIM is running on Db2:
  • LANG=zh_CN.gb18030
    LC_ALL=zh_CN.gb18030
  • LANG=en_US.utf8
    LC_ALL=en_US.utf8
