Starting and stopping Apache Storm

You can start, stop, and retrieve status on Apache Storm on the command line or in the GUI.

About this task

On the command line, you can use the itnm_start, itnm_stop, and itnm_status commands.

To use the GUI to start, stop, and see status on Apache Storm, first ensure that your user has the ncp_disco_status_process_control role, and then complete the following steps:

Procedure

  1. Click the Discovery icon and select Network Discovery Status.
  2. Click the Apache Storm Status tab.
    A list of Apache Storm process is displayed, along with their status and process IDs.
  3. To refresh the table, click the Refresh button Refresh button.
  4. To start all processes, click the Start button Start Discovery button.
  5. To stop all processes, click the Stop button Stop button.
