Client version error

If you have installed multiple versions of the Tivoli® Storage Manager clients in your environment, you could encounter version errors when restoring backups that were created using different APIs.

During a TSM restore, the following error could occur: Connector exited with error: 'ANS1245E (RC122) The file has an unknown format. This error indicates that an administrator had created a backup using a later TSM client (using a newer TSM API) and tried to restore it using an older TSM client. This is a case where the older TSM API cannot process backups that were created with the later TSM API, and there might be compatibility issues. If your restore process fails with this error, update the TSM client to a newer version and re-run the restore.
