System states

The IBM Netezza Appliance and IBM Netezza Appliance system state is the current operational state of the system.

In most cases, the system is online and operating normally. There might be times when you must stop the system for maintenance tasks or as part of a larger procedure.

You can manage the Netezza Performance Server system state by using the nzstate command. It can display and wait for a specific state to occur.
