Provisioning flow

Procedure

  1. Log in to the IBM admin console to begin provisioning a new Netezza instance.
Note: You will be prompted to provide your AWS account ID to initiate the setup process.
  2. Launch the AWS CloudFormation template provided by IBM.
Note: This template will create the necessary resources, including resource groups, managed identities, custom roles, and role assignments.
  3. Wait for the CloudFormation stack to complete, then validate the created AWS IAM roles. Perform pre-deployment checks to ensure all required roles and permissions are correctly configured.
  4. Select the deployment type: private or public. Based on your selection, initiate the creation of the data plane, which will deploy all required infrastructure components.
  5. Provision the Netezza engine instance based on your selected workload profile.
During this step, the necessary compute nodes and storage are automatically allocated. A multi-tenant Netezza Console is also deployed, providing access to two endpoints: one for the engine and one for the console.
