Upgrading Netezza Performance Server to 11.2.3.X
Deployment options: Netezza Performance Server for Cloud Pak for Data System
Netezza Performance Server is not upgraded automatically when you upgrade your Cloud Pak for Data System. Learn how to upgrade Netezza Performance Server to 11.2.3.X manually.
- If you are upgrading to 11.2.3.0 or later, follow the steps that are described in Upgrading to 11.2.3.0 or later.
Tip: If Netezza Performance Server Replication Services 3.0.0.0 or later is installed on
your system, follow the steps to stop replication before upgrade:
- Stop replication at the node level. Refer to Starting and stopping replication on a given node.
- Check the status of replication databases by using
nzdr status dbcommand. If some of the databases are still showing as Active, it means that replication must be stopped at the database level as well. - Stop replication for each database, which still shows as Active. Refer to Starting and stopping replication for a given database.
- Start replication after all the upgrade steps are completed. Refer to Starting and stopping replication on a given node or Starting and stopping replication for a given database.
