IBM Spectrum Protect (formerly Tivoli Storage Manager) connector
Deployment options: Netezza Performance Server for Cloud Pak for Data System
You can use the Netezza Performance Server host to back up data to and restore data from devices that are managed by an IBM® Spectrum Protect (formerly Tivoli® Storage Manager) server. This section describes how to install, configure, and use the integration feature.
If you plan to use multi-stream backup and multi-stream restore support, consult with your Tivoli
Storage Manager administrator to confirm that it is configured to support your expected maximum
stream count. For Tivoli Storage
Manager backups,
the maximum number of streams is controlled by the MAXSESSIONS option in the
Tivoli Storage
Manager Admin console (dsmadmc):
- Display the value by using
query option MAXSESSIONS. - Set the value by using
setopt MAXSESSIONS value.
If you specify more streams than allowed by the MAXSESSIONS value, the Tivoli Storage Manager server displays the following error message and the backup ends: Error: Connector init failed: 'ANS1351E (RC51) Session rejected: All server sessions are currently in use
