NORMAL

This procedure creates a new matrix filled with normally distributed random values using drand48_r.

Usage

The NORMAL stored procedure has the following syntax:

NORMAL(matrixOut,numberOfRows,numberOfColumns,mean,stddev)

Parameters

matrixOut: The name of the matrix to be generated.; Type: NVARCHAR(ANY)
numberOfRows: The number of rows to be included in the created matrix.; Type: INT4
numberOfColumns: The number of columns to be included in the created matrix.; Type: NVARCHAR(ANY)
mean: The mean, default value is 0.; Type: DOUBLE
stddev: The standard deviation; default value is 1.; Type: DOUBLE

Returns

BOOLEAN TRUE, if successful.

Details

This procedure uses drand48_r.
