Accessing the Netezza on Cloud service

Deployment options: Netezza Performance Server for Cloud Pak for Data

Learn how to access the Netezza Performance Server instance by using the Cloud Pak for Data web console.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Cloud Pak for Data web console.
  2. Go to the My Instances page.
  3. Hover your cursor over the status icon of the instance.
    If the deployment is completed, the status says Running.
  4. Click the instance name to view the hostnames or IP addresses, which you can use to access the service.
    In the About this instance window, there are three hostnames:
    Console

    Provides the hostname or IP address that you can use to access the web console from your browser.

    You can also access the web console by clicking Open from the list menu on the instance.

    NZ host
    Provides the hostname or IP address that you can use to connect to the Netezza Performance Server database when you are running the command:
    nzsql -h <NZ host> -u <user> -pw <password> -port 5480
    API server

    Provides the hostname or IP address that you can use to connect to the Netezza Performance Server API server.

What to do next

After the initial configuration, some of the Netezza Performance Server commands are inoperative. For the commands to work, you must download the nzapi command line. Follow the steps described in Downloading nz.
