Netezza Performance Server 11.2.1.12 release notes
Netezza Performance Server for Cloud Pak for Data System
Version 11.2.1.12 adds
the sslCertValidation
flag for SSL certificate expiry checks, supports Windows 11,
RHEL 8/9, and Ubuntu 24.04 clients platforms, enhances data directory and inode usage monitoring,
and introduces partial SSL certificate chain verification.
Note: Netezza Performance Server 11.2.1.12 is compatible with Cloud Pak
for Data System 1.0.8.0 and later.
New features and enhancements
- Introduced a new
postgres
flagsslCertValidation
which enables forced SSL certificate validation, including certificate expiry checks, for every session. For more information, see Enabling ssl certification validation. - Added support for Windows 11 platform.
- Added support for RHEL 8 and RHEL 9 platform for Netezza Performance Server Linux clients.
- Added event generation in Netezza Performance Server to monitor and alert when data directory and inode usage exceeds 80%, 90%, and 95% thresholds.
- Added support for Ubuntu 24.04 platform.
- Added support for handling port 8443 in endpoints with S3 connector.
- Introduced support for partial certificate chain verification in SSL. For more information, see The nzsql command.
Resolved issues
- Fixed an issue with incorrect dataslice count when system expansion occurred between Netezza Performance Server versions 11.2.1.1 and 11.2.1.7.
- Improved performance of
Tdjfile
's sort operation used in the rollback of long running transactions. - Fixed an issue causing system downtime when multiple CPUs rebooted simultaneously.
- Lowered the default threshold for
nzrestore
'senableSplitDelete
from 10 billion to 1 billion to improvenzrestore
