Priority query execution (PQE)
Within each resource group, use priority query execution (PQE) settings to prioritize more important jobs over less important jobs. A job's priority is used as a weighting factor to allocate resources for its corresponding plans.
When you use PQE:
- For running jobs, the system assigns more resources to higher priority jobs.
- For jobs that are waiting to run, the system schedules higher priority jobs to run before lower priority jobs.
