Editing system credentials

Learn how to edit instances if you are on Cloud Pak for Data System 1.0.7.8.

If system credentials for an instance changed, monitoring graphs are not be updated until you edit the credentials. You cannot change hostname or port information. If you need to do this, delete the instance and add it again.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the web console and go to Administration > Instance management
  2. Select the instance for which you want to edit system credentials.
  3. From the overflow menu, click Edit monitoring credential.
  4. Enter your new system credentials.
    System credentials consist of a username and password.
  5. Click Save to save the new credentials for an instance.
    If the credentials are valid, background processes should resume and monitoring graphs are updated.
