Migrating with the backup and restore method

Deployment options: Netezza Performance Server for Cloud Pak for Data

Back up data on IBM® PureData® System for Analytics and perform a restore on Netezza Performance Server for Cloud Pak for Data to migrate data.

Before you begin

  1. If you want to migrate or connect to Netezza Performance Server for Cloud Pak for Data from Mako, you cannot be on version 7.2.1.9 P2. Make sure you are on version 7.2.1.9 P1 or lower.
  2. Make sure you have Software Support Tools version 11.1.0.0 or higher.
Important:

You cannot directly restore filesystem backups, which were taken on IBM PureData System for Analytics on Netezza Performance Server for Cloud Pak for Data.
