Query timeout limits

You can place a limit on the amount of time a query is allowed to run before the system notifies you by using the runaway query event. The event email shows how long the query has been running, and you can decide whether to terminate the query.

Note: To receive a message, you must enable the runawayQuery event rule.
You can impose query timeout limits on both individual users and groups. In addition, users can set their own query timeouts.
Note: After setting the query timeout value, restart the system for the changes to take effect.
