External network connections

Deployment options: Netezza Performance Server for Cloud Pak for Data System

During the on-site installation, the Netezza Performance Server installation engineers work with you to configure your system by using the site survey information that is prepared for your environment. The initial setup process includes steps to configure the external network connections (that is, the host name and IP address information) of your system.

CAUTION:

If you need to change the host name or IP address information, do not use the general Linux® procedures to change this information. Contact IBM Support for assistance to ensure that the changes are using Netezza Performance Server procedures to ensure that the changes are propagated to the high availability configuration and related services.
