Preparing your system for Tivoli® Storage Manager integration

About this task

To prepare a Netezza system for integration, complete the following steps.

Procedure

Log in to your Netezza Performance Server system as the nz user.
Obtain the external DNS name or External IP address of the Netezza Performance Server host.

Restriction: Do not proceed without the name information.
In your /nz/data/config directory, open the file backupHostname.txt by using any text editor and edit the file.
Replace the HOSTNAME value with the external DNS name or External IP address that you obtained in the previous step.
