ODBC driver considerations for configuration files
You can decide where to place the ODBC configuration files based on how you are using the client system.
Placing hidden configuration files in the home directory of the user is useful if each user of the Linux® or UNIX system has a separate set of configuration files, possibly describing different Netezza Performance Server system data sources. Placing a single set of non-hidden configuration files in either the NZ_ODBC_INI_PATH directory or the /usr/local/etc directory is useful if you want all users of the client system to have access to the same set of Netezza Performance Server system data sources, without requiring a separate set of configuration files in each home directory of a user.
