Test the Kerberos authentication
After you add the Netezza Performance Server system as a Kerberos client, test the Kerberos authentication to verify that users can connect to the Netezza Performance Server database.
To fully test the Kerberos authentication, it is recommended that you do the following steps:
- Confirm that a database user account other than admin can connect to a Netezza Performance Server database, Make sure that you test the nzsql command line, and also a data connectivity client connection such as ODBC, JDBC, or OLE DB. You could use the nzodbcsql test program as a connection example.
- Fail over the active NPS NPS host to the standby host, and repeat the login and database connection tests to verify that non-admin database users can connect when host 2 is the active host.
