Pause the system

Netezza Performance Server for Cloud Pak for Data System

Note: This feature is not supported if you have Netezza Performance Server 11.2.2.X and later installed on Cloud Pak for Data System 2.X.

After you have generated the AEK key, you must pause the Netezza Performance Server system by using the nzsystem command.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the container as the nz user.
  2. Run the following command to pause the system. 
    nzsystem pause
    Example:
    [nz@nz3-node1-npshost ~]$ nzsystem pause
Are you sure you want to pause the system (y|n)? [n] y

Results

The system is paused and you can lock the SED drives.
